SERVICE SCHEDULE UPDATE Sept 14th to Oct 23
Over the next 6 weeks we will be completing the Fall Service for all our customers. Most lawns have bounced back from the Summer heat and drought quite nicely but there are a few lawns that may need some repair next Spring. This was a very HOT Summer which has caused more Chinch Bug damage than usual. Although we treat annually for Chinch Bugs in programs that have insect control the nematodes available for Chinch are 50% effective at best. This is usually enough to keep the population under control and prevent any lasting damage in a normal year. The extreme heat of July (17 days over 30 compared to a normal 5-6 days) resulted in an explosion of the Chinch population. Chinch damage can usually be repaired with just a simple overseeding in areas that don't come back naturally. Another problem we saw a lot of this year was Crabgrass. It's another one that LOVES the heat. Stay tuned for info with your Spring service on strategies for dealing with Crabgrass.
A couple more notes - We want to give a huge Thank-You to our Georgetown and Acton customers that helped make us the Readers Choice Platinum and Diamond winner in 2 different categories this year. We truly appreciate all the complements, referrals and great reviews you have given us. Thank-You again for your continued support in a very challenging year and keep an eye out for your renewal in the mail or E-mail the end of December or beginning of January.
